Lol! We still have 3/4 of our xmas cake (as I don't eat it!) My hubby makes cake, pud and mince pies every Christmas!! He also makes a huge Steak n' Kidney and this year managed to make 8 lots of pastry, bless him!!

i have always made cake, pudding and mince pies but this year i gave in and didnt make the pudding ~ no one wanted it. i made the delia recipe instead where she does all the fruit and no 'pudding' ~ very nice and not so heavy. this was also a delia recipe ~ the creole cake ~ very moist and morish i shall certainly make it again ~ easy too!

With all this snow around I'm beginning to feel like those penguins! Very nice cake- did you make the penguins too? :-)

ive got it on dvd ~ i love it ~ its such a fascinating story ~ ive always loved penguins but that film shows you what persistant, incredible birds they are.

Love the cake and the little penguins - bet it tasted as good as it looks. I like Delia's cakes but hadn't heard of the creole cake before. Just googled it - my goodness no wonder it's moist, it's full of booze!

I had a friend who was brought up in Sounth Africa on the cape, they had penguins everywhere. Some used to live in a burrow unser her house, trouble was, they are very smelly birds and refuse to be rehomed, they just waddle back!! Stink of fish apparently!

I am going to make a Linda mixed bag cake. I have a bit of everything left so I shall mix it all into a cake recipe and see what it tastes like. Love the penguins they look so sweet.
