hi Terra and thankyou, i really enjoyed doing this, part of me doesnt want to part with it, so if it doesnt sell i wont mind haha :o)) x

Can you put a very high "reserve price" on it ...
i.e. only for sale for offers over £5,000 ? ;o)

3 Jan, 2012

4 Jan, 2012

Well done Sandra ..this looks great..is this the windmill we see when just going into Blackpool ?maybe not as i dont think that one has an extension..good luck with it in the exhibition i am sure it will do well :o))

4 Jan, 2012

Lovely painting Sandra, I remember this Windmill from when I was a little girl, we used to travel to Blackpool on a Charabang [coach] and the first one to spot the windmill got Sixpence lol Good Luck at the exhibition, I dont think you will be coming home with the Windmill!!

4 Jan, 2012

She,s so right San, I really enjoy going to my art group but havn,t yout talent or confidence--I also play about with different medium, gouache and acrylic are what I,ve been using but must get some new ideas for this year......

5 Jan, 2012

thanx joan and no its not haha
the one you see is marton windmill on the preston new road, this is when you come off that road and through a village called staining where i live, glad you like it though :o))
cheers carole you will have seen marton windmill like joan to which has been there many years and is also the second one on that sight. glad you like it carole and hope your right in a way, it would be great to actually have someone buy one of my paintings :o))
thankyou so much Pam for your kind words to, you are a good artists to, they tell me not to be afraid to put colour on, whatever i like and experiment, can always block it out again with acrylics. be a devil haha and keep painting, you to carole, your both good :o))

5 Jan, 2012

Yes you are right..its near Marton Mere isnt it ? I should have known that as my daughter had a caravan on a sight near there a few years ago...where they hold a huge car boot sale on a large field in summer..:o)

5 Jan, 2012

carboot sale is as you come off motorway roundabout joan, its alot smaller now as the land is sold and ment to be building on it and more land further along near windmill to be built by oystons, it makes me angry taking all the fields up.
then not far past windmill are lights where you turn right to caravan park which is next to premium bonds buildings, thats where my baz works on maintainance.
history lesson over you may have a cuppa now hahah

5 Jan, 2012

Ha ha, i know where you mean..(why did i say sight..duh..site ) not my night tonight..yes its not good when they sell the green areas off..wont be many left the way its going..:o(

5 Jan, 2012

lol joan, we all get like that at times dont we haha :o))

6 Jan, 2012

Wow, San ! Ooh I do love this one, the light and shade is beautiful, well done you, I'm sure it will sell easily, maybe you ought to start another for yourself...Lol

7 Jan, 2012

We always used to look for that windmill too..so exciting when you first saw the tower, and that windmill..all that asking'are we nearly there yet ?'..even though we hadn't even got as far as Preston..:o)

10 Jan, 2012

thankyou pixi, glad you think so, its going in next exhibition, being framed :o))

10 Jan, 2012

Sandra, I cant believe how far you have come since you first attempt! This is fantastic and yes, it reminds me of the windmill along the Sheringham coast road that we saw on holiday.

10 Jan, 2012

thanx Tetra, i even shock myself and cant believe i could ever paint like i do, i so enjoy the challenges and the learning to, wish i had started years ago now, there are quite a few like this one scattered about, think they changed in different era`s, these are my fav type of mill :o))

10 Jan, 2012

Great! Good luck with the exhibition! :)

11 Jan, 2012

11 Jan, 2012

awww thanx Tog glad you like it :o))

11 Jan, 2012

good picture Sandra. Hope you do well at the exhibition.

13 Jan, 2012

thankyou so much linda, just in getting framed so pick it up on tuesday, trouble is when i like them i dont want them to sell haha, but it would be nice to have someone buy one of my paintings :o))

13 Jan, 2012

It seems to me Sandra that unless you have a famous name and paint pictures or are in the spotlight of stardom it is difficult to sell your paintings, and even at a reasonable price. Same with books too.

14 Jan, 2012

linda i think your right there, if we were celebs and even if our work wasnt great, people would buy because of the name, not good is it but i enjoy the painting and thats what matters :o))

14 Jan, 2012

I totally agree with you Sandra. I get a great feeling of satisfaction after completing a picture.

15 Jan, 2012

:o))) getting my thinking head on now for next painting to start tuesday.

15 Jan, 2012

That is really beautiful Sandra . . must have given you a lot of satisfaction. Best wishes for the exhibition. :-)

16 Feb, 2012
