My favourite shrub,Amy..very early isn't it ? mine has had lots of buds all winter,but nowhere near ready to flower yet..a bit of prolonged sunshine and warmth will do the trick..:o)

They are pretty Gill I have some pretty pink ones that I'm keen to see blooming they are still in bud .. Thanks San :o)

Lol, N3tyy, exactly. When I am bringing home another beautiful bush to plant, my mother always wraps her hands - "...don´t you have enough? For all those money you could have three beautiful costumes!!
Any costume is as beautiful as blooming bush, isn´ it?

Thanks Janey , it is Pieris japonica Kat it grows up to 10 ft high .. be careful N3 / Kat it needs acid soil to thrive ... you are right Kat nothing compares or gives as much pleasure or last as long as a beautiful shrub ...

I never saw that big pieris here, Amy. Might it be influence of a dry climate inside the Continent?

We are very dry here Kat in fact we are going to be in serious trouble if we don't have more rain soon , the farmers are being restricted as to how much water they can use , we have bought some huge 1000 litre water containers to catch as much rain water as possible to use on the garden ......
