Rufus takes a bow! Thanks friends...it's been a quiet winter...been taking it lazzzzyyy....but this little fellow (devil or angel, we're still not sure) has been bringing us out of our doldrums. He's a fiesty little ball of energy...just what we need! The fish are safe for now...but wouldn't bet against him once he's grown! :-()?

...Hopefully I will have the fish in a new pond this summer. Had one completed which was too close to the house (specifically the chimney) and will be dismantling it come spring and looking for a better situation. How is your pond doing, San?

Thanks Milky...Hello Tet! Just like Jenny Anydots.... "tiger stripes and leopard spots"..lol. His kitten coat is soft and fluffy. His mother's coat is silky and with her plume of a tail... she's a beauty! We went to the "General Store" in the little village nearby and Rufus and five of his sibs were in a box behind the counter...It was love at first sight.

He's a lovely gray, like Giorgio, M. Tet: Believe me I was tempted but cooler heads prevailed (T's) !! lol....Ruffy's mother looks like a Norwegian Forest Cat...or a Maine Coon. She's a large animal with a beautiful silky coat and her markings are Torti-tabby. Rufus will have green eyes..earlier they were a beautiful soft blue. Rufus' Mommy's tail is a plume! Rufus was one of two whose fur is a solid colour...he's all gray with a silvery frost on his paws and around his ears...at present he's a ball of fluff...but full of attitude~! Terry calls him Sir Rufus, OBE. (Only Bites Everything)

Those fish should keep him amused for a bit! I had one cat who liked to nap on top of the aquarium because of the heat from the canopy light. Wait until he spots the birds outside, or a nosy squirrel comes near looking for a handout!!

Grammazoo: Funny you should mention the warmth from the light as Rufus had started sleeping on the screened top of the gecko aq., and yesterday we were watching a robin trying to wrangle a very large dew worm...R's whiskers were all a-twitch..lol. what fun. We are gradually introducing him to the outdoors and the squirrels and chipmunks had better be wary...he's fast.
