7 Great Spangled Fritillaries

The Butterfly Weed is still going strong and really attracting the butterflies now. I have at least a dozen Butterfly Weeds in the yard and they're all constantly full of butterflies.

All I could find of this plant was a little 2" pot and the plant was less than 1" high! I am still nursing it along - it is all of 3" tall now.... : (

Yes X, Asclepias tuberosa (in the milkweed family). I don't know how "Weed" got attached to the common name........it's definately NOT a weed !

Thanks ! I've seen this plant called "Butterfly Milkweed" which I like better than just 'Weed'.
