Parasol anyone?

Parasol anyone?

I bought this at the Malvern Spring Show, it seems happy in the flower bed.
Dodecatheon Pauciflorum ~ does anyone know if it has a common name?

I bought this too Sticki from Harlow Carr the week before last, planted it in my part shady woodland border :-)

18 May, 2012

Parasol for a dwarf Sticki?

18 May, 2012

harlow carr is lovely isnt it simbad, most of my garden is quite shady!!

i like that kasy!! or maybe an elf???

18 May, 2012

oh, not an ELF!!!!! - reminds me of winter, Christmas - and you know Sticki what they do in garden Centres? People workin there have to dress as Santa Clause, some (read Kasia) as an Elves. Don't want to think about it yet, lol.

18 May, 2012

kasy you wont believe this but i have done that!!!! i know about dressing up cos we often had to do such things in school ~ as teachers!!!! but i would much rather be an elf than a fairy!!!!

18 May, 2012

well Sticki - but I had to be outside with the temperatures much below 0 degree C!!! In not so warm outfit, brrrr...

18 May, 2012

you will have to introduce a new policy ~ elves that wear very warm coats???!!!

and by the way ~ i would like to come to see that!!!!!

18 May, 2012

I think Sticki the best way would be to volunteer and tell us how it felt, lol.
BTW - I've heard there is a fire stove at winter at my work, lol.

18 May, 2012

believe me ~ i have already done that job!!!!

the stove will help !!

18 May, 2012

Sticki - there is an old saying - never say 'never', lol.

18 May, 2012

19 May, 2012

Lol! French computer - had to ask it the right question - in French!!!

Yes, 8 to 12 year olds. Liked both, Sticki...different challenges. I would have preferred to be able to move around more on a regular basis but, at the school I worked in we all got a bit 'stereotyped'...

19 May, 2012

ah fabulous!!! i like that 2 legged octopus ~ 4th along!!!

wingdings has loads - but they don't paste as the same on my computer...

19 May, 2012

ah so thats what wingdings are for

19 May, 2012

They just come up as things like... é, à and the like for me, Sticki...

19 May, 2012

i tried it ~ they dont work for me either

& ~ that is supposed to be a book!!!!

19 May, 2012

...what do you mean, Sticki?

I liked wingdings because it had symbols for all my excuses for being away...

a cocktail glass, a plate with fork and knife and a bed!!!

19 May, 2012

Now that sounds excellent, Karen!!!

19 May, 2012

Sorry to be boring and get back to the plant here but just to say that I put a couple of these in shady spots last year and they were briliant, flowered for ages and so pretty. Just coming into flower again this year. Hope you enjoy them.

19 May, 2012

Quite right, Tuesdaybear (love the name!) Let us remember why we are here!! They remind me of the small cyclamen that flower so beautifully in late summer/early autumn - Hederifolium, I think. I am definitely going to keep on the watch for these.

!!!☺☺☺ !!!

19 May, 2012

I'm with you, Melchise... ;))))

19 May, 2012

sorry, i was trying out wingdings karen, and what should have been a book comes out on here as &

thats great news tuesdaybear ~ thank you for that.

i think they look a bit like cyclamen too melchi

19 May, 2012

well...if the cocktail glass, and the fork and knife with plate, and the bed symbols had worked...I would have put them now!!!!

Night, night all! :))
