Just had to take some more pictures today - the sun has been so bright and it lit up the garden beautifully

thank you :o) the light was amazing out there this morning. :O) This path was laid with stepping stones to stop the mud coming up (heavy clay and very wet in winter)- it used to be an open pathway up to the driveway of the cottage and the wellie boots walking all over it made it quite a squelchy soggy mess so I put down the paving slabs to help keep it from looking less like a ploughed field. I have closed it down now with an arbour seat and so it doesn't get the wear and tear it used to.

I love the long shadows when the sun is lower in the sky. It looks lovely.

I love looking at your garden Barbara and this is a lovely view. I agree with you, the sun being lower in the sky really lights up the garden.

Thank you Wells, it is dying back fast now. Winter is approaching, not looking forward to all the cold and snow, but eh ho spring is just around the corner. lol :O)

It's pouring with rain here today, which has put a stop to my plans for lifting more mud..but it's just as well, I need a break. Still, I will get to see if the flooding has stopped at last.......here's hoping! Only a few days to the winter solstice now...and then we can all start waking up again...slowly!

Lovely garden with a real cottage garden appeal to it. Like the way you have left the strip of grass and set the paving slabs into it.

Thanks Lindak, not so long ago it was all grass just pathways across it, this is the originally pathway and the border has been dug out and the grass has got less and less and less and less. lol. much better to see flowers than cut grass lol. so pleased you like it.

Very attractive flowering and light, also like the random way your path is laid.
