ah, its still in draft form! i will do one i promise, had 2 goes at sketching but been at work today and was out last evening and this evening.

at first i couldnt work out why bampy drew those circles but then i realised ~ its a great tip i think, big help!

Sticki not sure I could draw a cherub, have seen the real cisteen chapel too, it's amazing.
No drawing for me now had a cortisone injection today for trigger thumb......very very painful. :(

poor you Grandmage having cortisone injection, my friend has had them and tells me so painfull, hope it calms down soon for you :) x

Having to type with my left hand and feeling very sorry for myself, I am in agony. Thanks San & Dd...blush blush.....and Sticki, I have always wanted to draw flowers but never had the chance to have a go! Maybe I should try again. and I am resting, boy was that injection painfull and had no local for it either. Lou...c'mon you have a go too and thanks :)

i really think that sketch is very good, im hoping for a few more tips from bampy so i can try to draw a different type of flower? i thought the circle thing works so well ~ never would have thought to do that.

Me too Sticki, brilliant idea, maybe Bampy will do a whole blog on drawing flowers. :) Think I only did well because of those brilliant circles.
My thumb is throbbing and very sore, I am hoping it will recover and improve :( Thanks for asking :)

great first try, GM! I have no artistic talent, so the two occasion I have managed to draw something decent I've been very proud of myself.

I can see great pictures in my mind, but halfway down my arm there's a short-circuit, and my hand never gets the messages that my brain is trying to give it.

It's mostly practice, trial and error; I tend to give up too soon and so never get past the "error"! I've got about six sketch pads, tins of drawing pencils, pots of water colours ... and never do anything with them, in case I mess up. Of course I will at first, that's the point of practicing.

Keep going with it, you've got talent if you can do that first time!

I'll have to find Bampy's blog, I can't believe I missed it ...

Fran, you are so kind, thank you for your nice comment, I will have another go and yes I have all the gear like you gathering dust in the cupboard!!

as someone who can't draw a full stop without it ending up upside-down, I'm deeply awed at artistic talent. Bampy could run classes! lol and so could GM, if this is a "first try"

You two must try it Fran & Tuesday......honestly, I wish I could draw and this was truly a 1st. try.

sometimes I can get into that part of my brain that can draw, GM. but I don't know how I do that; wish I did, I'd go there more often! I can see lovely pictures in my mind, but somewhere about halfway down my arm there's a short-circuit, the message never gets to my hand.

practice is the great thing - well, it is in all things, I suppose. I tend to get discouraged too easily, "oh, I'll never do it" and give up too soon.
