This has survived the winter beautifully. The Lewisia had its cloche taken off for the photo, but it's back on again now until it's just a bit warmer.

Thanks, Scotsgran and Terra. Hard to believe that I planted it up last year. I'm looking forward to seeing it grow on. Thanks for the tip about putting a cloche on the Lewisia, Scotsgran - it has obviously worked!

If you found Lewisia growing in the wild it would be wedged under a rock with the roots protected from the cold and the face of the rosette growing vertically protecting the flowering part so you have given it the same protection with the cloche.
