Thanks Linda, motinot and DD - it's in a pot on the steps so I think that's why it has avoided the mud splashes, plenty others of my plants have those.......as well as holes nibbled out of them!

I wonder if this is the same primula I have received from Brian. Mine are showing just upper tips of leaves so you are at least week ahead of me!!!

this is Primula Elatior kat ~ i bought it several months ago and it has flowered ever since. [even when it was covered with four inches of snow]

for all the snow you've had yours are so far ahead of mine, I saw a bud on one today but the leaves still look almost the same as when I posted the picture last :D

I cant remember when i bought this floralhead ~ but it was already flowering, i wasnt at all sure it would be ok after all the snow but its fine!!

It's a bit cooler again today but really can't complain...it didn't snow Friday like it was supposed to :D
These are easy to separate Sticki, I've done it many times, just moved them the other day! I don't think they even know :)

cooler here today as well but since i was working it doesnt make so much difference! very windy as well

did you separate with a fork flora or just pull them apart?

just pulled them apart, they separate easily :)

any time of year? im reluctant to pull these apart too quickly because they look so nice just now ~ mind you the wind sounds as if its blowing 100 miles an hour so if they are still surviving out there it will be a miracle!

We had a weird weather day as well, 24C today, still it's 16 right now (9pm) but at around 3:30 this afternoon it poured buckets.

I dont suppose it was 100, it just felt and sounded like it!!

Oh no! Winter coats never seem far away......I have been wearing mine! But yesterday I actually went out in the garden with no coat and no jacket, even sat in the sun!

Yes the wind finally broke the fence, may put a trellis up instead and grow some climbers up it?

It snowed here last night but nothing on the ground, car had ice cover on it.
I guess that's the only good thing about the fence falling, you get to do something new. A trellis sounds nice!
