Wow, Steve you haven't let the grass grow under your feet!!lol. looks marvellous... Do I see Scarlet Runner Beans on teepee's ..., Potatoes, onions.??.. love your gravel paths between the raised beds! And your greenhouse and trellis... Isn't it great when all the hard slogging work of beginning is showing results.... I love to see the progress of a garden...will look forward to your mid-summer posts...

The good life!

runner beans 'red rum' all flowers and very little leaf , had a lot of early damage by the sparrows, but seems better of late, may try white flowered runners next year , apparently the birds don't go for this colour.
just lifted 23 garlics, that were next to the shallots you can see, should keep us going for most of the winter. red cabbages( just out of shot to the left) nearly ready.
much prefer raised beds , easier on the back!!

Nothing tastes nicer than veg straight out the garden!! We have made a small area of raised beds this spring, about a quarter of yours and were a bit late planting. Even so we've done really well with Kidney beans, peas beetroot carrots potatoes and spring onions. Our best crop has been some little turnips which we really don't like the taste of and won't grow again :-( Raised beds have definitely been easier to manage

they certainly are joannie, easier on the old back as well!! we are always experimenting on new veg , some we like some we won't be growing again, this year we have 9 butternut squashes growing on 3 plants .

Your raised veg plots look wonderful. We have started building raised beds on our bit of land and have a new greenhouse which will be erected once the weather warms up.

I'm so jealous of your wall - I would so love a walled garden, or at least some hard landscaping :)
