Sorry it's me again, do you know the name of the rose in your avatar ? It's brilliant.
23 Oct, 2013
I agree, Roy, and Dotty's rose just might be "brush strokes" but she will of course be able to tell us!

Cheers everyone........Sheila is correct it is brush strokes but it has been altered using Image Tricks.......

That's so terrific you can make your own grape juice. Is it easy to make?
I've made lemonade, orange juice, limeade and passion fruit juice from my neighbor's fruit. I would think grape juice would be a little more difficult to make.

Thank-you Sheila and Dottydaisy I'll check it out.

Good health, it looks delicious :-)

I had wild purple grapes growing behind my house and they were very tart, but we had lots of fun making tie-dye T-shirts with rubber bands from boiling the grape skins. I don't think I've owned a single white T-shirt; they were all tie-dyed.

Bathgate I remember tie-dye, our daughters went through that stage...
Del it is very straightforward, the worst part is picking all the grapes off the stalks to wash....but so worth it!!

Do you just press the grapes?

Well done Dottie, good health! When we used to live down the road we had a south facing garden with a high stone wall at the top of the garden and Gerry had two vines there. He made wine and it was tasty.

Yum! We would like to have a go at cider making next year if the apples are prolific. We have four trees do dessert vars and one Bramley. I hope it's another good year for them!

Karen an excellent idea, Fran it was delicious, everyone who tasted it was so taken with the taste.............bit of a faddle, but worth it, will certainly make it again.......

I used to buy cartons of grape jiuce, rather nice, but think that home-made, really fresh juice can't be beaten, even if it does take some faffing around
22 Jan, 2014
Scott's work colleagues have given him a book that tells you how to make all sorts of home made alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.....it's great!
