sounds like a good idea Val , I get muddled with Penstemons as they bring out so many different named ones each year I'm convinced they are the same with different names ,many look identical to the ones we already have to me ! we have several still in flower .. BTW I found out by accident that if you peg a good stem down it will grow roots easily, free plants , I've grown a lot in that way ! Have a go Suey you will be surprised ...

A good job well done, congratulations to OH. My greenhouse looks a bit deserted still. Local garden centre has run out of potting compost (!) so I have plenty of pots but nothing to put in them.

I have taken some too. I hope to get them through the winter. fingers crossed.

I'm sure you will Linda ,the trick we have found is to not water them unless they are really dry and then only enough to keep them going otherwise they rot off .... I usually water them when needed in the tray at the bottom rather than the top....

Me too Linda. So far they are looking good. There is a huge one in the garden. I can't wait to see what colour...my money is on blue though. The previous owner definitely loved blue, and there is a huge clump of blue gentians which I'm thrilled to see as I've never been able to grow them myself!
