After last night, I would imagine the flowers are non-existent, cannot get out to check as it is tipping it down and has been for most of the day!!

Lucky you Andrew, it has been awful here, shall be pleased when it blows itself out.
Motty Mahonias are such useful plants in the garden..
Thanks TT I have not had chance to check it yet, but they are tough plants...

Dotty ... the forecast for tomorrow (Monday) is for even stronger winds and heavier rain ... ground is saturated here already and lawn is covered in fallen Cordyline leaves ... :o(

I really love the smell of the flowers, they remind me of lily of the valley perfume. I hope it survives all the rough weather.

I love all the Mahonias and wish I had room for them in my new much smaller garden !

Rose - if you search for 'Marvellous Mahonias', you will find a blog I wrote a few years ago about various members of the family. There are several smaller ones, suitable for smaller gardens

I really like the Mahonia's as they seem to grow well here on the shadey side of the garden and under the tree's. I didn't know that the flowers had a perfume will have to investigate... although the scent may have faded by now as they've been in flower for some time.
