"Star Gazer Lily" For Bloomer

Mine are just opening but I don't think they like the cold wet weather we're having today.

Pretty markings Carole..a little different from my pink ones,but equally as nice..I still have a few buds yet to open ,but the Burgundy ones will soon be finished..A long wait to see them again :o(

Does it smell nice too Carole?

My lilies were pathetic this year, I suspect lily beetle grubs altho I didn't see any black slimy stuff.

Beautiful! I expected more flowers from mine this year but was very disappointed to get only about three. :-(( But on the other hand one surprised me by growing in a tub in a corner of the balcony railing & sending up a flowering stem that opened outside of the balcony railings!

I've had no sign of Lily beetles at all on the plants on the balcony - they just did badly this year & I'm not sure if it's worth my while keeping them another year. :-((

I can sympathise, Balcony, as I only had a few flowers also, maybe we were just unlucky.

I can smell it from here, heady but beautiful!

Lovely one Carole, this colour is my favourite. I haven't had any this year.....couldn't do with the dreaded lily beetles.....:((

Lovely lily. Don't grow them here but when we lived down the road and had a huge garden I grew them in the flowerbeds, but they always got lily beetle attacks.
