More of my Gravel Garden photos are on my recent blog.
I enjoy seeing the Skimmias in flower at this chilly time of year.

Thanks Tracey ... yes, Magic Marlot ...
brightens up the winter garden.
I hope your Heucheras perk up. I'm sure they will grow new leaves as soon as the weather improves.

I hope they pickup too TT. To be honest, we've had so many visits from Jack Frost here... Some days the frost hasn't thawed at all, especially on parts of the garden closest to the house, at the back of the bungalow. Hopefully, we shouldn't have problems with bugs and pests this summer... Should we? ;o)

Let's hope you are right Tracey ... the frosts will hopefully result in less garden pests this summer !

Thank you Siris ...
the plants get some protection from the shed, which might help a bit.

That's pretty amazing they're blooming now, right? These plants don't do well in my subtropical climate.

A lovely combination of plants, TT! The gravel also shows them off very well!
My daughter saw a Skimmia in a garden near her house last year & asked me about it. She said she would like to have one in her garden but was afraid the berries might be poisonous. She has a little boy of 2 years (now) & a small dog & was worried they might eat them.
A plant like that would look good on my balcony, especially with the variegated leaves.

Your Heucheras look in great shape TT! Mine were looking a bit sad when I was having a tidy up in the garden this morning! I hope they will revive as I love them! :o) Is your Skimmia Magic Merlot? It's a very nice one ;o)
