I didn’t notice another field nearby with sheep in had some other type of feed. Looked like some sort of crop that had been dispersed all over the field. Say, turnips for instance?

Thanks Julia, you’re probably right about the turnips. If you’ve seen them nearby to where you are, this makes sense. Ps. Drove passed today and they were munching on them again!! I wonder if you’ll get to see some early spring lambs?

They certainly have a good supply of feed there. At this time of year there isn't much goodness in the grass, so the hay is good for them. When I had my animals, at the end of April into May it gave them lots of energy. The goats had their kids by then, and the little ones used to leap around just like the lambs do.
