I have the white form and the hips are fabulous! I've seen this one planted in gardens and it's a very intense colour.

I will like that Ange. I have seen a hedge of it at a country house nearby and in summer always stop because of the vivid colour and scent..
I bet the white form is very lovely too, and those hips!

Looks to be a lovely old rose, Janey! If the perfume is as intense as you say even a "nose-blind" should be able to smell it! 😆 Hope you will post a few photos of it in flower & then later in the year when the hips are on display.

I hope it will do well in the summer. As of now the leaves are taking a while to unfurl, with the cold and wet. Yes I'll certainly to that!
