I love this area of your garden Bernieh it's so tranquil I can imagine it’s just the spot to sit and unwind just two things missing ~ large wine glass and bottle of wine! :0)

Thanks so much Sueb - we do spend a lot of time out there with a very large glass and bottle of wine or should I say bottles! We very lucky to be able to spend most of the year out there - except during our summer days!

WOW !!!!!!!!!! What a lovely place you have.
Seems we have similar garden tastes, even though we're on opposite sides of the world, interesting?

Thanks Junglejen - appreciate your comment. It is so interesting to see what other gardeners enjoy having in their gardens - and amazing when you find similarities, as you say, at opposite ends of the world. This is one part of my property where there is a real tropical feel - most of my property is rather sparse, dry and difficult for growing many plants.

I love your courtyard Bernieh. It looks a lovely place to shelter from the Aussi' sun in the Summer. Adoronron.

Adoronron - thanks so much and you're right. It is a great place all year round really - although in the height of summer we don't spend much time out there in the daytime (just way too hot even in this sheltered spot).

Thanks for the kind offer but Ali wouldn't cope with the flight - she's not a good flyer but at least we can share your garden through GoY and it's superb!

That's it - we can feel like we're there through the photos.

Nice of you to drop by, Fumble. The courtyard garden was an area that I really tried to work on last year ... and I was pleased with the effort. I'm hoping this year that it will look even better with lots more colour.

I would love to copy your garden. Looks like a nice area to have a relaxing drink and a natter. Shame you live so far away, not for you though!! At least you don't get the frosts!

So true, Aitchw ... we don't get the frosts, but sometimes we just can't sit out in the courtyard because of the heat and the strength of the sun's rays ... you could fry in under ten minutes out there some days. Thankfully, though, the evenings out there during the height of summer are rather pleasant.
