Thanks everyone...:o) Yes Carole, after it flowered last year I gave it a good trim and took off some upward growing shoots.....its really filled out this year and the hot temps have brought the flowers out...:o)

How do you keep yours so compact, mine is about 8 ft tall, i think i should
have kept an eye on it....i do try to prune it regulary, each Spring, still seems
to shoot up, its a good thing its up the end of the garden, in the Wildlife
area....it is a wonderful Shrub though, very pretty!!!

Fp....it was a bit straggly when we came here 3 years ago, I cut off some really wild branches that were going nowhere, then last year after it flowered, I trimmed it and clipped off all the upward growing shoots...there are some on now that'll need to come off soon.......I think it's been a good year for them.
