This feller has been doing fly-pasts over my garden for some time but never used the runway until last week, since when he has been landing every day.

Lovely photo Ponty. We're knee-deep in Jays in this part of the world, but they're very secretive birds and prefer to tuck themnselves away amongst branches or bushes. Nice to see one offering a photo opportunity! Season's Wishes!

Thanks all. It looks as if he is going to settle her for the time being. Surprisingly, he is becoming quite bold. I have twice seen him strutting around on the patio.
