Back home from lovely Suffolk.

I haven’t been on here lately as I have been in Suffolk.
It was a lovely cottage my friend and I stayed in and the weather was so warm and sunny, in fact just sat by the Broads one day, it felt tropical. It was so hot.
I do all the driving and coming home was a nightmare journey.
The satnav took us all round the country lanes when I was having to wait to get through Wroxham.
One minute it was 5 miles to Norwich and an hour later 6 miles to Norwich!
It would have been quicker to wait patiently in the queue at Wroxham!
Unfortunately I pulled a muscle in my knee while I was away and can’t do any gardening at the moment.
I had a big job in mind to get started on when I got home, but now will have to wait!
I am not the most patient of people as my friend would gladly tell you that! lol
Take care everyone! Happy gardening!

Good to see you back Rose...I thought you had left for good! That's a shame after an enjoyable break you injured your knee.Gardening on hold!

Gosh yes the roads are busy around Wroxham especially during the summer holidays. Glad yu enjoyed your stay in Norfolk. Our youngest lives about 30 mins from Norwich near Diss and the River Waveney is the boundary with Suffolk and it is just a mile from their back garden. Toria's hubby Dan works for the River Waveney Trust and head office is in Bungay.

Hope your knee gets better quickly, a literal pain. chin up and enjoy the autumnal garden if you can.

It's nice to have a break and I'm glad you enjoyed. Sorry to hear about your pulled muscle, I hope you're not in too much pain and that it will get better soon.
I couldn't cope with a thing like satnav, I prefer following a map.

Thanks Julia! I sit here in the conservatory looking at all the jobs I want to do but can't. It's so frustrating!

Seaburn, my husband and I used to holiday in Norfolk and Suffolk three times a year and if we had been younger would have moved there.
Since losing my lovely Rick, my friend and I go now.

Thanks Hywel. My map is a bit out of date, so use the satnav, but it is mainly for finding a cottage that we stay at and have different ones each time.

Hi Rose, good to see that you are back on GoY with us all once again! Sounds like you had a very enjoyable stay but I'm sorry to hear you have hurt your knee. Hope it recovers soon & you can get on with the jobs that are on hold at present.

Take care.

Hope your knee gets better soon Rose. I injured a nerve in mine months ago and I still can’t kneel down. How did I injure it? Doing squats to get fitter!

So pleased you enjoyed Suffolk Rose and had lovely weather. I remember Wroxham well, it's where we picked our boat up in 1974 for a holiday on the Broads, 50 years ago! We loved it..:))
Sorry you've pulled your knee, it's so frustrating isn't it when you want to get on with things, but look after yourself and enjoy looking at your garden, I don't think we do that enough. x

Thanks Karen. It's amazing how something so simple could cause this to your knees.
And all I did was to pick a towel up from the shower room from the floor on holiday!
Thanks Janey. You are so right and it is so frustrating just looking at the garden instead of working in it.

Rose, I'm so pleased you had a lovely holiday 😊 I do hope your knee is improving and you e not too much pain.
Journeys can be frustrating! I drove up to Scotland on the 6th, took much longer due to roadworks/ 30 limits on motorways etc!

Thanks Kate. It is a slow job with my knee, but I just have to try and be patient. Which I'm not!

I have put a 'Like' to your blog Rose, as you had a lovely time in Suffolk, not because of your knee!

How is now? Less painful I hope. My maternal grandparents came from Thetford, Diss and I just loved my Nan's Norfolk accent, especially when she said Koocumber instead of Cucumber and Twolips instead of Tulips, great memories of her.

Hi Shirley, thanks for asking. Some days it's not as bad and then when I think it is better , the pain comes back!
Yes I love to hear them speak and in Suffolk too.
I have been to Diss many times and love the big restaurent there.

Rose, I hope you have more good pain-free days with that knee problem.

I haven't been to Suffolk or Norfolk for many years and really don't fancy the drive now ... :o(

Thanks Shirley. I enjoy the drive as there are no motorways and the car nearly takes itself there after going for so many years. lol

Its nice to revisit places you've always been Rose, sometimes satnav's are a nightmare and can take hours to get to your destination and then at other times they are brilliant....Hope your knee is better now..xx
