rise of the stumps (part 3)

As you know im having a new area and old trees were cut down but then was the hard part of getting the stumps out,
Johnny and Joe have been digging alot of ground from around the stumps and taking some roots up, but after a couple of attemps seem to give up, thats young ones for you,
Well baz was off this weekend so i asked would he get Joe and try to get them out while weather was nice today, rain coming from spain so who knows when we may get a chance to do this,
I went off to work this morning but they were both still sleeping fast, i finish at 12 noon saturday and was driving home thinking if they havent started grrr" lol. anyway as i drove onto driveway i could see them in the garden, great, im so releaved i thought,
i turned into the garden and there it was a big stump, woohoo one out at last
what a big one hey!
anyway made the workers some well deserved breakfast and then they got back to work digging, cutting roots and more digging, baz`s poor back to
anyway joe isnt to good today with sore throat and head cold so i told him to go have his shower because his lovely girlfriend was waiting for him, i was dropping them into town where joe was going to have his ear piersed, hiho i thought but as long as thats all he was getting done, i agreed and i dropped them off, not back yet but they are coming back and having dinner here with us,
anyway i helped baz finally get the second stump out which was pretty hard even though baz and joe had done the hardest part, im so glad they are out, meaning only two very small bits to come out now close to the fence, well broken messy fence which will have to be replaced before i plant up anything,
so things feel like they are moving on now im so happy to say, when the next dry day comes and if im off work i shall start to sort through the soil and dig over the remainder of the area making it easy to work in some composs, so all in all a great days work from my troopers ;o))

27 Feb, 2010
Didn`t they do well Sandra, you certainly gave me the idea to ask my son Dan to give me a hand in the garden (there`s a lot of heavy work to be done) He agreed at once! Once its all done you will have all that fine soil to plant in, I`ll bet it`ll look great once you finished. I really wish the rain would stop and the sun would come out. I`ve had enough of this Winter and I need some sun too.
