changable weather!!!

All week I have been trying to work in my garden to get it ready for my open day on september 13th. The term changable weather has been use a lot this week!!
Yesterday our eldest son David was here to help me which was great. It seemed everytime we got started on something the rain came so suddenly we ended up doing the 100m sprint and a lot of tea was drank. But inbetween we did manage to do quite a bit of weeding and tidying up.
Today it was just me and the dogs. The weather was better and after 3 100m dashes this morning!! the sun shone till tea time. The paths are all swept but a few need cleaning to get the algie off. I even got the strimmer out to tackle the grass in the orchard, and it looks much better now. How nice it was to feel the sun even if it was only for a few hours.
Tommorow it seems we are expecting a MONSOON!!! So i will settle into my shed and start the big clean-up to transform it from an utter tip into a tea room to serve the cream scones!!

wellie olympics hmmm.
we live down a very dodgy farm lane and today we could hold the canoe race, in the river that has formed on it!
the bottom of the valley has turned in to a pond so we could also hold the sycronised bog snorkling!!!

Horrible day here, too, Irish. If Sandra has got it too, I can't see any gardening going on - can you?
