Its been very busy here at the nursery this year with big changes going on, more on that later. Took some time to take some pics yesterday thought I’d share.
The echiums are taller than ever and the bees are loving them.
cordylines all in flower but one is looking very sad. I think its rocked itself out of the ground in the winter winds…
It’s making a terrible mess as it drops it’s leaves but I can see green tips on it so fingers crossed!
The succulents are showing off all over the garden. Never had so many aeoniums flower!
sorry about the sideways pictures..dealing with a new laptop!!
Hope everyones enjoying the summer sunshine at last.
thanks for reading

lol Terra! I love your setting Sandra, it looks like the Isles of Scilly! :) Pity about the Cordyline. I have a large Viburnum that's struggling..but not because of the winds. The fuel delivery man seems to have given it an unintentional feed of Kerosine...:( It stinks. Poor thing has lost a lot of leaves, but I'm hopeful it will rally. I have no idea how much fuel got on it. I love to see the aeoniums in flower. Mine are terrific, but no flowers. I'm hoping to enter one in the local flower show later in the year, I'm so pleased with them. :) On the photo of the Cordyline, what is the building on the right please? Just being nosey...

Hello Sandra, My isn't everything doing well?...apart from the Cordyline of course. Hope you manage to rescue it.

hope your viburnum recovers Karen. Waddy the cordyline is making a right mess dropping its leaves...but im hopefull! the building is my shed Karen. upstairs is full of plants in winter and all my craft stuff is out there, downstairs is just stuffed with junk...and a real fire. heaven in winter.

Love your echiums they look great love your garden looks wonderful.
I hope you dont loose your Cordyline my son lost two of his when we had that hoar frost back in 2010 he had to cut them down as dark gunk started bleeding from the trunk which stunk awful.

thanks 3d..no nasty smell as yet!

Thats good to hear Sandra his leaves were completely dead on top he gave them a chance to produce new foliage then he thought to keep the trunks and grow clematis up them like a flowering structure but when it stsrted to bleed then stink he cut them down.

Wow aren't your Echiums huge Sandra, I just flipped the laptop, lol, I was wondering about when to repot some of my succulents but seeing how well yours look and the size of the pots , I'm not interfering yet, I'm on a mission to get one of the really dark leaved aeoniums, was angry at myself , we nipped into our local nursery a few weeks back and they had loads, got sidetracked choosing my trailing plants for my baskets, forgot to pick one up on the way back out, last weekend they had all but the dark ones, typical isn't it..Great photo's Sandra, shame about the Cordyline but as you say it does have a fair amount of greenery showing so fingers xx.

thanks Lincs..if you were closer you could come get one at my nursery...I hope u find one soon.
Karen I am blessed with my shed, it's my favourite hiding place on stormy days. I'd be in there this week as the forecast is horrible but i'm taking a little break with my sister. At least with all the rain forecast I won't have to worry about the watering!!!

I know Sandra...its pouring down here and I'm actually quite glad! Enjoy your break with your sister :)

It's really great to see so many succulent plants altogether in one garden - not a very common sight these days! They look very good indeed!
However it's a shame that the Cordyline should be in such a bad condition, I hope it will recover soon.
There used to be a very big specimen I used to pass regularly on the way to town. It was killed back to the ground in the winter of 2009-10 but during the summer it started to sprout from the base again & the owner cut the plant out to the base & just left the shoots to grow up forming a clump. Well now that clump looks far better than the original plant killed by the frosts of that terrible winter.

Back from my little break Karen had a lovely time and even swam in the sea!
The cordyline still has green tips so i'm still hoping Balcony..
