Corseside in November

Well with Autumn well and truly here I took time out today to take some pics around the garden. We’ve had loads of rain this week and it was fab to get back outside.
First thing to do was to water some of the plants in the tunnel. As you can see my brugmansia has finally decided to flower!
Can’t believe this has grown from two six inch cuttings in the spring! Sadly not much scent as its not hot enough!
I do enjoy seeing all my babies cwtched up for winter. Not sure how long before the big ensete outgrows it’s space!
Outside the garden is enjoying the mild coastal climate we enjoy here in Pembrokeshire. I am realy pleased with my new salvias I planted in the spring. I’m not sure of their names but I believe them to be half hardy, so I have taken cuttings off them all, but secretly I’m hoping they survive the winter! Not a problem with this dog wood…I do enjoy it’s witer colour.
Up in the top shed is where I keep my bigger pots of aeoniums. In the Spring this place will fill with freshly potted on plants.
Every winter I find new places to keep some of my succulents outside. Our climate here is usually quite mild compare to many places in the UK and I find if they are kept up against a sunny wall they do fine outside..having said that if we get a bad one I’ll be moving them inside!
Even this agave is staying out this year..it’s just got too big to move again..
I’m enjoying the start of my hibernation now the nursery is all quiet. I get to be granny three days a week and 10 month old Myla is moving around now so I can’t take my eyes off her. This week we set up a photo studio in a spare room. I drapped it with festive fabrics and got a few bit and bobs down from the attic for A Christmas photo shoot. Can’t resist showing you one!
Two weeks till my tree goes up can’t wait! Started Christmas shopping and making. Hope everyone’s well, thanks for reading…Sandra x

What a great photo of the wee star! I've toally fallen for aeoniums Sandra, and you have some fantastic ones there! It must be great to have those big tunnels. Well, you need them for your business. But I was thinking more of how nice it would be to play in them in winter! :)

very healthy looking plants there Sandra. I too have started the Christmas run up. I made the cake in October, knitted to bobble hats and am now embroidering the 'cards' for my daughters. I have done them a card nearly every year [missed 2] and they go in little Christmas motif frames.
Myla is one happy little girl. Lucky gran too.

Karen my tunnel is my favourite space in winter and spring I'd go stir crazy if couldn't play with the plants in the cold weather.
Lincs I'm loving every moment. Hopefully by the time the spring comes she will be able to walk around the garden with me.
Terra if the snow comes I'll be out there with blankets!
Thanks Hywel I have been planning a barricade to keep her from my Christmas tree when it goes up.
SBG I love home made cards and presents, really makes my day when I receive either.
Thanks Maggie can't argue with you..she melts me...
