now ALL we have to do is move it all……..
16 tons of top soil to grow the tomatos in.

Wonderful Sandra ! :o)
I have about a ton of soil from my neighbour who's leveling the ground to make a car port. I'm bringing it in using an aluminium bucket. lol. It's going to take for ever :o)
Do you want to borrow my bucket ? lol
And I'm glad to see your helpers had refreshments .

thanks FF. i love the path too. its so much easier to walk on the path than the chippings. i hope extend the path later in the year.
your welcome to bring your bucket and help me if you like... i'll even through in lunch...lol

That polytunnel is big enough to throw a party in! Can we all come, Sandra? We could bring our buckets!
Hywel - if you haven't got a wheelbarrow, can't you borrow one? It'll take you YEARS to shift the soil in a bucket!

lol. well I think the bucket suits me fine. I couldn't use a barrow with my back. I bring a bucket full up every time I go down the garden. It's surprising how much gets done in a few days.

I like the brick paths around your site.
Are they just slotted into the ground ?
Are the bricks on sand ?
5 Mar, 2009
thanks TT. the brick are just laid into sand. they do move a bit but they make walking or wheelbarrowing much easier
