What I bought at the Kincardine SRGC Show.

Although the exhibitors are the main stay of any show the traders who support it are vital to allow us to see trends and sometimes to find old favourites which are just not available in the bigger garden centres. Being able to talk to the person who grew the plant you are considering buying is a privilege in these days of instant fashion gardening. They are fully deserving of the support we can give them. I always buy something and this time was no exception.
1. Saxifrage Southside Seedling.
2. Saxifraga Hindhead Seedling
3. Hepatica nobilis
4. Bare root of Roscoea cautleyoides
5. Primula Peter Klein which has deep pink buds
6. which open to pinky flowers
7. Corydalis George P Baker which is said to be the best red corydalis but according to the grower the colour depends on its situation.
I am planting for the future and look forward to seeing these flourish in years to come.

Great selection of plants, I love going to this kind of event where you can meet the growers. I'm hoping to go to a specialist plant fair on Easter Monday, weather dependant of course.

A few beauties Scotsgran. It's always nice to get new plants and I've been particularly spoilt this week Thanks to you and Brian :)

Sounds like you had a bad experience at a Special Plants Fair Lulu? Or was that the credit card that ran amok?
Peter Klein should spread out to 20cms Pcw and benefits from splitting according to what I read. It is a beauty at a maximum height of 15cms. There are two nice plump buds on the Roscoea which I am hoping will flower this year. The grower from Hartside Nursery said to plant it deeply to save it from the frost. Have you been to a specialist plant fair previously Louisa. We don't get them up here apart from the SRGC shows. We never seem to be near any when on holiday down south either. Like Brian we are never in the right place at the right time. Thanks Tt glad you like them. Bjs having seen your garden believe me when I say many a show would be thrilled to have you as an exhibitor. Your greenhouses are packed with goodies but I know you can't resist 'just another plant'. I'm delighted with my selection Hywel. I don't think any of them will be overly hard to care for. Mel the Hindhead Seedling was a must have as soon as I saw it. It has vey frilly petals in this pale primrose yellow. I'm delighted with it. Scottish you can look forward to the Edinburgh Show. Anticipation is part of the joys of gardening.
