The last 2 weeks in my garden

Love the delicate erythronium flowers, peony blooms very pretty too!
Don’t think I’ve seen the erythronium before.

their common name is dog tooth violet and the yellow pagoda are regularly in the garden centres from March onwards. though you can buy the 'bulbs' in the autumn. cheaper that way too.

Lovely. I do love the camassia. I have never had the space for them. We had a couple of short showers today, but mostly sunny. Still cold, but a tiny bit milder in the sunshine.

, but have flower buds on one that has never flowered before, which is very exciting!

My P cambessedesii never came through its first winter Karen. which one do you have in bud Karen. I love this genus of plants.

Your borders have done well Seaburn, do like your Paeonies and aren't your Dicentra lovely, mine used to be lovely years back but never seem to do well for me now, I don't know why, guess I just haven't found as good a spot as they used to be, unfortunately that is now where my g'house is, lol..Love to see the Erythronium, such a pretty flower..
Not a lot of gardening going on here at the moment but the weather has warmed up a bit today so living in hope for this week...

All lovely, especially the Erithroniums and the Camassia. Your beds are really showing the benefit of all that weeding you did earlier! I'm still plodding on with the weeding. Filled one compost bin (the one two slow worms have moved into)and ready to start on another...

No rain here but bloomin cold. Love the foliage on the P tenuissima. I've been pulling out huge self sown Cerinthe and white flowered Borage.

It's all very lovely, your persicaria is huge, looks great.

I think its P.lactiflora ‘Cherry Hill’ but can’t be sure till it flowers as I have three that all look the same. None of them have flowered yet, but they are still quite small. They don’t seem to be bulking up like Doreen and cytherea which have both been flowering for two years and will flower again soon. Last week I treat myself to a purple P. Suffruticosa. But its quite small. The foliage is as lovely as the flowers, so I’m happy to wait.

Funny you should say that Dawn. One of my epimediums has got spectacular orangey leaves. I’ll get a pic tomorrow!

It's looking lovely Seaburn. When I look at a border earlier on (after I've weeded it) I tend to see all the spaces (Yipee! another plant!) but forget just how much room some of them need. So you have done well, been patient and well behaved and your border is filling up nicely. Dog-toothed violets are wonderful, I only have the ordinary one, if you can call something so exotically shaped, ordinary! I like Cerinthe Siris! But understand it can take over if it is extremely happy.

I agree Epimedium leaves are amazing. all the new foliage is so pretty at the moment. Some of mine have a reddish hue to them.

Hi Dawn, it wasn't a hardy perennial. It lasted a few years because I put it in a shed for winter but it has died now.

Arhh I see Hywel, I've only seen pink perennial ones. Shame it's now in plant heaven.
