The last crafty bits for 2022

I have been busy again, making various quilts and table runners. The table runners were made for a craft stall I hold every year. They all sold quickly so I that means they were priced competitively. I usually only charge for the cost of the fabrics used. Each of these 36" long ones cost £15 to do. The chevron ones can be made in any fabric and I did take some orders on the day. They are to do in the New Year. One in lemons and pale greens the others in pale blues.
I’d also made a quilt that was meant to be for me, but Victoria has claimed it! Typical. I used a lot of stash fabrics to make all the blocks 12" square as the flower fairy blocks were 9"x 8". Much easy to make them up into squares and then join them.
Stash fabrics are scraps from previous projects or pieces bought just because I liked them. Similar to the ‘disease’ gardeners have of “must have that plant, now where can I put it?”
In the New Year I will be making a 100″×100″ quilt for her and her future husband as part of their wedding present. It is all planned out and I just need to buy one more fabric.

Well done Eileen, they are very attractive … I think you should charge a bit more! Happy Christmas to you and your family.

I admire your work very much, Sbg, and I can see why you have been asked to take orders for the runners - so gorgeous. Your daughters are lucky girls...

I second all the above. So beautiful & such talent. I didn’t know you could buy the Flower fairies printed on fabric. What a good idea. I have never thrown out my two little flower fairy books, the pictures are so nice.

Just beautiful - you are very clever indeed.
I have been to a local patchwork centre today called Cowslips which does numerous courses and exhibitions. I go there to the cafe as I have no talent whatsoever!!!
Happy Christmas!
