It is going to be different this year.

Usually I am getting all the food ready for tomorrow and by 8pm I would be sitting with a festive drink in my hand.
This year I have made mince pies and a trifle for tomorrow and a lasagne for tonight’s tea.
I will be sitting with a festive drink at 8pm but I will be at Elizabeth & Matthew’s [son in law] for Christmas. All the ‘heavy cooking’ will be theirs this year. They are so excited to be using the wedding presents they received back in October.
Victoria and her fiancé Dan have gone to his mum’s in Oxfordshire but she will be up here in early Jan before she starts her job on the 9th.
I hope you are able to be with the people you wish to be with and that you have a happy Christmas and stay healthy.

Happy Christmas, Sbg. I’m glad you’re being let off cooking
this year. Enjoy being the guest for a change, rather than the host, :-)

Enjoy the tipple, or hope you’re enjoying the tipple - just noticed the time.
Enjoy the rest tomorrow and just sit back and let it all happen.
We’re off to Rob’s brother and sister in law with his mum too..I’ll be sitting back and enjoying the day…being very grateful also.
Best wishes, Eileen. Happy Christmas 🎄

Thank you for all your good wishes. Steve and I had a lovely time with Elizabeth and Matthew.
I hope you all had a good time too. We managed to watch the King's speech. Elizabeth wanted to watch it as it was the first one. She sometimes watched the Queen's speech but not every year.
But that was all for Christmas TV. We talked played board games and had a wonderful relaed time.

Thank you Seaburn. Best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.
We were waited on yesterday by my son and daughter in law who bring all the food, cook it and then wash up!
Christmas Day out with all the family, so a very relaxing time for us!

Eileen, that sounds just perfect! We shall be at our daughters and her partner tomorrow, wonderful as he was due to be deployed (RAF) to Estonia on the 29th December but is now going to be in the UK.
Daughter just text me with these words: "I didn't fully appreciate the level of preparation you have put into the Christmas ham until today!"
