I just wanted to express my thanks to everyone on here that post lovely photos in their blogs when they go away or of where they live, i cannot travel now due to the Meniere’s disease and i miss going places and visiting garden centres etc., so i do enjoy reading and seeing the lovely places you all visit at times. I don’t know if some of you realise how much your blogs are enjoyed by house bound people like me and i wanted to let you know they are very much enjoyed!!!! :o)

So sorry that you have such an appalling disease and I'm amazed at how you stay so cheery. Most people don't realise how invaluable the photos on GOY are to those like you who can't get out - at least it keeps you in touch with the outside world other than your immediate family etc.
Take care.

Thankyou for a lovely blog, but sorry about your illness.

It's always a lovely view here on GoY...and it is very nice to know that the photos/blogs etc. give you pleasure, SK, when it makes it so difficult to be housebound.
It must also be great in the spring when all the plants and trees wake up from their winter slumber....and by the photo you've put up of your garden it looks like you have a nice garden to look out on. I wish sunshiny days for you in the months to come so you can be out in the garden, enjoying the scents and colour. :)
It's so kind of you to thank the members for sharing their gardens with us all. Have a lovely day, SK. x

I remember you have mentioned it in the past Sk but to be honest I know nothing about it and didn`t realise how much it affected you, the blogs and photo`s on Goy have opened up a whole new world for me as well and I am blessed with good health apart from the usual aches that come with age, I can well appreciate what a difference they would make to a less able-bodied person, as has already been said, you always seem cheery, bless you and long may you continue to enjoy that extra pleasure Goy and its members bring to our lives. That is a lovely view of your garden.........

Thats a lovely thought SK. I can't imagine how you must feel not being able to get about now, but so nice to hear that you get joy and comfort from everyone's blogs and gardens. Keep smiling. Take Care.

Hi SK, i also was unaware of your illness & you being housebound.. that must be hard for you,it is good that you can just switch on & all your GoY friends are here for you to chat with & as you say to look at their photos, your garden looks beautiful....take care.

Oh, that's brought a lump to my throat, SK. I knew about the Menieres but not that you weren't able to travel. You are able to see so much on GoY, not just the UK, but all parts of the world, which must be as fascinating for you as it is for me! You have your talent for dressmaking, something I've never mastered and I remember your pic recently of the child's dress and bag you made, fabulous! Have you sketched a plan (or ten)!) for the gravel garden yet? Keep smiling. : o )))

So sorry you are now housebound, SK, but pleased you have Rocky to keep you company, even if he does attack some of your plants! I didn't know much about Meniere’s disease until you mentioned it some time ago and didn't realise it was so debilitating. Hope your planned garden changes happen soon and, as well as making life easier for you, will give you lots of pleasure. Good luck :)

That is a lovely photo of your garden Sk,although it may be the last time we see it,as it is..Is the planning coming along ok,for your new gravel garden? I hope so.I was made aware of your illness,in your 'gravel garden' blog, recently.I also didn't realise it was so debilitating.I am glad GoY gives you so much pleasure,as it does for all of us,but it is brought to me,just how much, after reading this.Take care,Sk,and we love reading your blogs and seeing your photo's too..:o)

Sorry to hear you can't travel Pat. It restricts your life so much doesn't it :(
(I can't go sometimes due to agoraphobia - such a nuisance ! and when I do go it's only a few miles)
I'm glad you enjoy people's blogs.

Oh Hywel i didn't realise you suffered from that! It's a bit like that with me scared i'll have an attack whilst out so it stops me going, horrible feeling of panic. Doctor told me i must keep going out even if only to the corner shop for a bread loaf otherwise it will get worse, easier said than done as you realise!!!
Sticki...i'll take a photo soon so you can have a laugh lol!!!

i wont laugh SK ~ it will help me to plan mine ~ if you dont mind.

I've got those kind of sketches drawn too, SK....we can understand them and the dreams in our heads so that's what counts. lol
I'm sending you a pm shortly. Hope you've had some sunshine today....it was a bit murky and grey earlier but the sun has come out this afternoon (and it's daylight for an extra hour...yeah!).
