Succumbing to a taste of Spring!

I went to a large GC yesterday to look for a new garden pot, and was amazed to see that they already had a good selection of plug plants. What is a girl to do?! Such a bargain, that I came home with more than 30, (but no pot) and had a happy hour in the greenhouse in the afternoon sunshine, pricking them all out.
Three different shades of my favourite trailing Verbena (deep pink, pale pink and silver) for baskets and tubs, yellow and purple Petunias to go with a purple Cordyline in a big dish; Fuchsia and Bacopa for the baskets and some pretty Nemesia for an island bed.
Still keeping my Loropetalum, Gardenia and Libertia Blaze in the greenhouse until all danger of frost is past.
Oh yes, I did succumb to temptation as I’d never seen so many blooms on a Hellebore before! (this is ‘Winter Sunshine’). (I blame Cottagekaren!)

Made me lol! Nice plug plants Sheila. I spent a lot of today in the greenhouse as we had full sun all day and that horrid cold wind persists. It was lovely in there though. I sowed a lot more seed and planted Lilies in pots. Lovely! Oh, nice Hellebore by the way...(Karen walks off whistling innocently)...

Cheers Karen . . . where's the harm in enjoying ourselves?!

Precisely...and it's actually Brian and Andrews fault really, as they recommended Ashwood nursery to me. And if OH ever finds out how much those Hellebores cost, I could be in serious trouble! ;)

Karen - buying plants that make us happy is beyond price!
Thanks to Sue, Klahanie, Resi, Gill and Hywel for popping in :))

Thanks Gralew! Each year in March I enjoy potting up plug plants, but this is early even for me - it's just great to have got started :)

If only I'd had a greenhouse when we moved in. I might still have had my Lorapetalum! Oh well....yours is looking great!
