Mid March and Spring is in the air. It’s still cold today, but the days are forecast to be warmer this week, and it’s lovely to see blue sky, sunshine and blossom!

I enjoyed my walk in your garden Sheila. the prunus are beautiful. I lost mine a few years ago sadly. I must get round to replacing it.

I agree...the best time of year is from now untilend of May. Your garden is alwayslovely in Spring. It has beeen so much milder here today. Just as well as our boiler has gone yet again!

Lovely Sheila, I enjoyed my tour, this year is really going to be good for you, all the hard graft sorted, new planted up garden for you to add to here and there, tweak the ones already established, now's the time to enjoy.....

Beautiful display Sheila. I planted my French Beans last week and they just started poking through. Apparently they love the cooler weather.

Lovely pictures! Anemone blanda is always so welcome, isn’t it? I have just had some work done in the garden - the contorted willow has been cut back (I have it done about every 5 years or so) and my plum tree has been taken away (sad). It had been dead for years and I was using it as a place to hang birdfeeders and grow honeysuckle and clematis. We returned from a week away in February to find it blown down. It wasn’t really a surprise. Next week I am having a cotoneaster tree removed because it has outgrown its space and its welcome. I hate getting rid of trees, but it needs to go. All of which means I have a largeish bed to redesign this season. Quite exciting, really!
