Early April sunshine

Took some quick shots today, partly to save the budding Amelanchier in case we lose the blossom in tomorrow night’s frost ;(
Sobaria sem with Heuchera and Forget-me-nots
Narcissus Thalia
Exochorda The Bride
Amelanchier with a few flowers emerging
Lovely to enjoy the warm sunshine in the garden today, with two robins and a dunnock with fluffed up chicks! Oh, and a Red Admiral :)

Thanks Eileen. Let’s hope ours both survive Monday night’s freezing temperatures.

We've been out today, too. What a bonus of a day! A peacock butterfly on the arabis and primulas, serenaded by the robin. Glad you've enjoyed it, too, Sheila.

It was an amazing day Klahanie, thank you. Light snow showers today!

Your garden looks very nice! Those Daffodils I also grew a few years ago & I think they lasted quite some time as well!
Our balcony looks fabulous with so many Daffodils flowering at the present moment! I'm taking photos of them on an almost daily basis!
The Violas are flowering very well & I've taken a great many pictures of them as well. Next year I think I will have lots more of them in place of the Pansies. A lot of my Pansies have collapsed again this year 😞 Less than the 1/4 part are still alive. 😞

Lovely pics, Sheila! I do hope your amelanchier survived last nights cold frosty temperatures!!!
We had a slight snow flurry overnight, sunshine today, but very cold..

Thank you Balc.
Thanks Kate ... we’ve just wrapped up several budding shrubs as -1 or -2 is forecast overnight and the next night too. Couldn’t believe the snow flurries this morning, but glorious sunshine later for five us to enjoy tea, cake and chat this afternoon ... it was very cold though!

Yes, it’s a bit of a nuisance isn’t it, this late spring arctic burst!!!!! We should be embracing milder temperatures and pottering in the garden! Pleased you had what sounds like a smashing afternoon though, despite the cold!

glad you were able to enjoy the one warm sunny day with friends. I also had a visit from my 2 sons & d-in- law. We actually ate our dinner sitting out in the sun, amazing. I wish it would warm up again, don't we all. As I've got older I particularly hate the cold wind, but otherwise I always make the effort to go out for a walk.
