… sitting in my favourite chair, watching the birds and listening to the bees :)
This bed has filled up nicely with Petunia, Geranium, Hakonechloa, Salvia, Hibiscus and Penstemon
Sweet pea in shade, Verbena burgundy, Campanula, Malva and Aquilegia
Hope you are enjoying a peaceful, sunny afternoon too :)

Glad you're resting after your hols., Sheila. So often resting is interrupted by fidgetting after noticing weeds, etc!

Sheila, I have had an enforced day of rest through ill health, hopefully just a blip, but I have so enjoyed sitting, reading at times, watching the birds feeding, drinking and bathing. They are so comical at times in the water! A few Bees, just a couple of white Butterflies and actually taking time to admire the plants in bloom.
Your garden photos are lovely .. seeing your greenhouse ... mine was 84 degrees today ... phew!

Thank you Ange, you’re so right. I did have to leap to my feet a couple of times to set things right!
Hope you’re feeling better now Shirley. My greenhouse went up to 43 … probably not far off yours (certainly too hot to work in). We had two white butterflies too 🙂.

Pleased to hear you took time to sit and enjoy all your hard work and effort you've put in to your beautiful garden, Sheila.
Loosestrife hit the nail on the head with his message.
Yesterday was simply lovely in the sunshine and it was baking hot too.
Today...humid and thundery showers...I do hope it brightens, we're off to friends for 'outdoor' drinks and food this evening 🤞

Thanks very much Kate. Yes, humid and showery here too, but an earlier downpour was welcome :) Hope you have a lovely evening with your friends ... these long, light evenings are great for entertaining!

Your garden is looking very inviting and peaceful in the sun Sheila, a time to sit and reflect, just what is needed after travelling and holidays. Lovely memories to enjoy.

Exactly Janey, it’s a blessing to have a quiet peaceful day to just sit and enjoy the view. Thank you 🙂.

I am very glad that you have mentioned this. All to often I am so caught up in the work that a garden needs and other things in life, that I forget the main purpose in having it in the first place which is to sit back and enjoy it!
