Hodsock Priory, February 09

Nothing much flowering in the garden now, so thought I’d cheer you all up with a few pictures of our trip to Hodsock Priory near Worksop last february, to see the snowdrops.
Had a great day and bought a couple of cyclamen for our little wood and also two new hellebores.
Planted 500 more snowdrops in our wood this year too, try to add a few more each year so can’t wait till spring, never know one day may look as good as this, I wish.

Lovely photos - thanks. I love snowdrops, and we (luckily) inherited a lot here. :-))
I don't want to wind you up - but I can truthfully say that I am lucky enough to have quite a lot in flower at this moment, though.
What a difference between the North and South of the UK!

I love the time when snowdrops are out. Don't they look lovely in big drifts like these.
Snowdrops in November Spritzhenry ? How strange. Are they a different variety from the spring ones, or just flowering out of season ?

No, no, Hywel - sorry if I misled you - I meant that I have autumn flowers and still some from summer, as well! Ooops! Bad wording, there!
The snowdrops appear after Christmas! :-))

Thanks everyone, been meaning to go every year, and actually made it this year.
I love the cyclamen too Alz lovely sight, bought a couple but must get some more, planted them under one of our trees, noticed they have some new leaves today, be a few years before they look anywhere near as good as this, but are supposed to seed when they get established, fingers crossed.
Lucky you Barbara, am quite jealous, not much flowering here now chrysanthemums do look amazing though and a few other odd flowers, noticed today my viburnum Bodnatese Dawn has some flowers about to open, so alls not lost.
I love the snowdrops too Hywel the start of spring, always get excited when I see them.
Is a lovely place Louise, forgot to take some pictures of the priory though, too busy looking at snowdrops.
