Greedy Lab

Had to tell you what our greedy lab fudge did today.
Our daughter Suzanne came downstairs this morning and shouted “whats the christmas tree doing on the floor mum” went in the lounge to find decorations everywhere, thought the cat must have knocked it over running around, stood it back up and started putting decorations back on only to realise no sign of any chocolate ones, and who should walk in with glitter all over his face, yes Fudge, he must have knocked it over and eaten every single cadburys caramel (my favourite, and his too by looks of it) decoration foil and all, put them on every year he never usually bothers.
Would have been a bit worried as know chocolates are not good for dogs but last year he did a similar thing, youngest daughter left the lid off a tin of quality street and he ate nearly half a tin wrappers and all, just had some very festive poo for a couple of days but he was fine, little monkey, here’s a few pictures of the guilty party.
It wasn’t me.
Ok maybe it was, lets be friends, shake hands
Aren’t you going to put some more on.
I’ll sulk then.

You're right there Simbad, Bonnie greets everyone wagging her tail and almost smiling, waiting for a treat. Our relief postman always gives her a biscuit, bless.

Naughty Fudge! Don't they get a 'guilty' look when they've done something wrong! I had to laugh at him. :-))))) I've seen 'that' look before somewhere. lol.
Yes, Dawn - Henry gets biscuits from our postman, too - he knows when the van stops outside - and barks to be let out!

18 Dec, 2009
OMG you've got me going again now Lincslass, hope no-one went near him with a box of matches, lol,
They literally will eat anything won't they, we have allotments at the bottom of the garden where we sometimes take fudge for a little walk, they've just had some horse manure delivered, piles of it at the end of everyones allotments, fudge is in heaven.
Once he managed to get in the cupboard where his food was kept, the dry stuff, of course when they eat that it just swells up, he ate nearly half a large bag thought he was going to pop, lol.

Yes, Sanbaz, agree with you...
Especially when I must remember that in Winter Holidays we should watch our cat Umka...Don't know why he does it. Every year he likes eating Christmas splatter decorations (we call it "rain") and then he has very long poo-poo. :)

Lol Uma, always remember my mother in law telling me about a Lab they had that ate a pair of tights, had to keep watch for them 'passing through' which they did but when they started to come out the dog was struggling so had to give it a hand pulling them out, the picture that goes through my head everytime I think of it,lol. sausages springs to mind, lol.

aww bless fudge just wanted a bit of Christmas!! we looked after a lab one Christmas (Dad was on a Navy ship when they had mascots) and he ate the balloons - it was a worrying time making sure they had gone through!!!
22 Dec, 2009
Genuisscuffy he's still doing his round of the tree every day to see if I've put any more on, wonder why it always seems to be labs? if it doesn't move eat it,lol, another disgusting habit Fudge has developed is eating the contents of the cats litter tray as soon as we hear the cat scratting its a race who gets there first, he really looks half starved doesn't he,lol.
22 Dec, 2009
I will leave to your imagination what Henry is eating in the fields at the moment - let me just say that he likes it even better frozen! YUK!

Ha ha, naughty Fudge. Last Christmas Bonnie ate a box of chocolates that were left with the lid off - they dont bother taking the wrappers off do they. Oh your photos of Fudge so remind me of Bonnie, she's good at lifting her front foot like that and lies exactly the same as Fudge on the 3rd pic. She was begging bread off someone today feeding the ducks, these Labs.
