The view of the Hotel’s garden from our balcony. See the little cactus garden on the left.

Some of the specimen in the dry cactus garden.

Most of the trees are orange or lemon, with almost ripe fruit.

I have this shrub, but not so big or floriferous, a Loropetalum.

And this one, nowhere so big, but more flowers and still flowering, a Polygala.

And a purple Hibiscus with different markings to mine.

Don’t know what this shrub was, with orange berries.
Durante erecta…. thank you Khalanie

Russelia equisetiformis?

Interesting plants used as hedging. Prickly Pear will definitely keep you out of the vegetable patch.

So instead, let’s have a walk into town.
Into this cool cloistered garden.

Loved these shade loving foliage plants. Wish I knew what they were.
Farfugium (Ligularia)

Mandervilla vines in profusion, white, pink and and red ones, growing outside.

Beautiful coloured flowers on this tender Hibiscus.

And my favourite, Calliandra, the powder puff tree? Or is it the Persian Silk tree, Albizia?

If anyone would like to correct or put a name to the plants I don’t know, I would be obliged.
In the meanwhile here is a picture of the backdrop of the bay of Naples.

Gosh, Siris... I am jealous. I did travel Amalfi coastline when young. Seems like in another life now. Beautiful country and beautiful pictures.
I know for sure that the blue flowers with yellow berries is Duranta erecta . I think I posted picture of it here in the past (from Mexico).

Thanks for transporting me back to Sorrento ,Siris..A lovely selection of plants and flowers too.Sorry,I can't name the ones you asked about...Whereabouts were you staying,as it doesn't look to be far from the centre..maybe going up the hill towards the Amalfi coast perhaps ? Anyway, the views are fantastic from anywhere, and I am very envious :o)

Thank you Khalani, Durante erecta, liked it as did the butterflies.
Bloomer, opposite direction, Sant'Agnello. Quieter than Sorrento town which was so bustling.

Lovely views and such different plants to the UK. Could the small leaved shade loved be a type of Asarum?

Thanks Dawn, but not an Asarum. It is a......
Gold spotted Ligularia (leopard plant) now called....
Farfugium japonica Auro-maculata, tender H3 zone, has yellow Daisy-like flowers apparently.

Really, how interesting, my ligularia all have big leaves.

Dawn, It came to me, that I had seen before somewhere. I thought then, I want. The leaves are huge like common Ligularias.
