Reflowering Bearded Iris Again and Again, flowering 26th August 2021
and today 9th November, a cold and dull day and the flower reflects that.
In the past it has even flowered in mid December.
There was also a blue reflowering one that has just finished, but battered to the ground by high wind, so no pic taken.
I do not cut the known reflowering Iris leaves down during my Autumn tidy-up. They are also in a sheltered spot and benefit from the feed that a nearby Rose receives annually.

Wonderful to have Iris in November! You sent me some remontant ones some years ago but they didn't like it here and only one survives and has flowered once. It does get sun on the rhizomes so I just assume the site is wrong for them.

I think it’s lovely to have it flower in November…
So, it’s not as vivid and striking, but, still so nice to see at this time of year.

Lovely bloom. None of my Irises re flower. Are there certain varieties that do? I expect yours does benefit from the annual Rose feed.

That's great that it's a repeat flowerer Siris, and a pretty colour. I remember Mum had a yellow bearded iris, and the scent was really strong...and of bubblegum!

Feverfew, some varieties are known as reflowerers, but those do benefit from better growing conditions. Immortality, a pure white,is probably the best known reflowerer in the UK.

Thanks for the info Siris. Immortality sounds a nice one to have.

Still a flower to cherish. It is lovely. It makes sense not to remove the foliage as it will need lots of energy to keep going..
