hello fellow GOYers..thought id share a few words and pictures on a trip away this weekend to Budapest…a well deserved trip to waste some time in a few spa’s, the odd bar and a gorgeous city recharging those batteries..

i rented an apartment in down town Pest..

the apartment was described ‘Retro’..hmmmm..

after been denied access to the apartment on the evening of arrival due to a film shoot starring someone called Bruce Willis friday morning I headed to a market to check out the local produce..as you do!!

you build up an appetite in a city market and so it was time for lunch and some serious ‘spying’ (some might describe this as people watching)..all very eastern bloc!

but the reason i came to this wonderful city was to sample the spa’s..three in all in four days..im all thermaled out!!

all that bathing works up an appetite too..

..but i did get chance view some sculpture..

..and art..

..and of course some culture..

and of course the odd garden..

Glad you had a nice weekend Skip. Thanks for sharing it with us. I love the pavement cafes and the wonderful food and drink they offer. It looks like you had much better weather than we had here.
