9. Process of elimination, must match no. 1 but don't know what it is. It's lovely though!

Lots of guesswork here, especially no 9 - it looks a bit like Joe Pye weed (Eupatorium purpurescens) except the leaves are wrong.

Yes - I have a green garden again! :-))) I unfleeced the white bundles this morning, and most seem OK - maybe a little browning of leaf tips. The Hebe isn't looking too good, though. I'll have to wait and see for everything else. :-(

Yeeeuuggghh - I hope it goes soon - it's a real boost to the spirits to see green outside rather then white.

I think you're wise to leave your fleece on. Mine will go back later this week - they're forecasting frosty nights. :-(
