On the wild side

Its wild flower time! This morning we went out onto the cliffs. The colours were amazing – acres of bluebells and gorse, white sea campion, thrift, sheeps bit, squills and one or two late cowslips. The sky was brilliant blue so the sea was too. So sorry I didn’t take my camera, as it was truly breathtaking. It would have been great to share it with you. However we have out little bit of wild at home so here are the steps down to our very narrow wild bit.
And finally this geranium, Southcomb Double – no reason really for including it except that its the first year its done so well and I’m quite chuffed with it!

I did take some other garden pics but the exposures were all wrong – I’m no photographer!

Thanks everybody. If I turned my back the whole garden would be like this in short order! The geranium is listed in several mail order catalogues - they say its a rarity in spite of how many people seem to be selling it!

I hope you all manage to find the geranium - mine isn't really big enough to split yet or I would start giving out bits.

Quite a healthy looking geranium! I also like gardening with a wild or natural look. Thanks for sharing.

It's nice to have some wild flowers in the garden. It makes it look more natural somehow, and they provide food for the insects :o)
