Hi Folks
Sad days.
I know some of you liked hearing about Gina the cat, aka GNuts, who was very popular and featured in many a blog.
So very sorry to say Gina passed away on Sunday evening after being taken suddenly ill late in the afternoon.
We rushed her to the vet who gave her some pain relief and a steroid but seems her liver had given out.
She was getting on, and was a former outside cat, but did come inside last summer and enjoyed a nice warm winter here and was great company for me.
We laid her to rest yesterday at teatime in a special corner with a newly planted tree.

There is a rehoming RSPCA centre at Perranporth
Steve. They have a very good volunteer cattery team.
All cats stay with them and vetted before placing with new owners. See library book ' An Eagle in the Airing Cupboard'

So sad for you Steve. I lost both my cats this time last year and still really miss them. I feel for you.

Oh that's sad news Steve, she featured in your blogs quite often didn't she? Thoughtful of you to have planted a tree where she now rests.

Thank you folks for all you kind words.
She certainly worked her way into many hearts here.
The place does feel empty without her but she has made me think to offer an older rescue cat a good home, but all in due course, need a bit of a rest first.
I will do a blog just about her later on to celebrate her life.

Oh Stevie I'm so sorry, G'nuts was quite a character and I remember her in lots of your blogs, of course you will miss her company but you know you cared for her well and she would have loved being indoors with you, sending a hug cos I know it hurts to lose our pals xx
