Is it really the middle of November, as I looked through the kitchen window this morning the Sun was shining brightly and so was this lovely rose that I planted bare root last November.
I just had to share it with you.
This last one was taken this late afternoon when the sun was round the front garden, I think it shows up its true colour more.
My name is " DUBLIN BAY" Hope you like me.

Lucky you Stroller, mine have all succumbed to the frost. Dublin Bay is a lovely rose though it does droop a little. It has a nice perfume too.

Thanks Paul, I do love the colour.
Heron - I hope it doesn`t droop too much otherwise we shall have to move poor old "Francis" as we shan`t see him.

Well, Dublin Bay, I do like you very much, especially this time of year! I've never known Roses to bloom so late in the year. My white Nicotiana is still in bloom, can't believe it, but we are forecast a heavy frost tonight so it may be the last I see of it. : o ((

Thanks Lincs.
Shirley when you say your White Nicotiana do you mean perenials or is this a Rose.

Ha ha, I did't explain that very well at all! It's a Nicotiana (Tobacco Plant) grown from a pack of seed and just keeps on flowering. I've had to stake it up with 2 canes now as it's about 4ft. high! By the way, have you decided on the front garden planting yet?

Beautiful colour...and as you say, so late in the year too :)

I have some pink climbing roses flowering here in Glasgow. I usually cut them and bring them into the house, but the pink ones are too high up. Your red roses are beautiful.

It's nice to see roses at this time of year. There's a yellow one in flower in my friend's garden. I saw it today and it smelled beautiful.

I still have a lot of roses that are in full bloom as well. They add a bit of colour to the garden in this dismal time of the year.

I have a cimbing 'Dublin Bay', Stroller. I agree that it's a lovely rose. I don't think mine has any blooms now, though. Yours does look a healthy plant! :-)

Thanks to all of you, it seems we are all doing pretty well hanging on to a little bit of colour.
Shirley I guessed pretty much that it would be the tobacco plant, but you know how it is - could just have been missing out on a new rose. I`m pretty certain I shall take up on your idea of the lavender along the path., but I think I shall be thrifty and buy one plant and take cuttings from it.

Propagating at its best, Stroller! Good luck with it.
