I was given a lilac tree a few years back and mine is coming into flower for the first time as well but mine is the lilac colour.

So glad it's flowered for you. I love lilac and mine is just coming into flower. I watched horrified yesterday when the wind whistled around it, and everything else in the garden.

Yes Ginellie the winds at the moment are so strong and cold, the gardens have welcomed the rains we`ve had but now we want a bit of sunshine.
