Hey, plants ! ... This is mid-NOVEMBER !!!

Chilly blue skies over the sunny Silver Birch tree …

… shivery mornings … golden leaves starting to fall …

The pigeon, perched up high, senses autumn is here …

… this is the time of year to fluff up your feathers …

……………………………………………………………………..

But my gardens are holding on to summer …

Do your plants know it’s mid-November ? …

Mine are refusing to admit that winter’s on its way …

……………………………………………………………………..

Front garden sedums are still flowering …

……………………………………………………………………..

Astilbe determined to produce one final display …

……………………………………………………………………..

A reliable rose bush … inherited from my mother …

……………………………………………………………………..

Rosa ballerina … dancing defiantly …

……………………………………………………………………..

Parahebe … snuggled near the raised bed …

……………………………………………………………………..

Coronilla valentina … bright and beguiling …

Last year’s purchase … I’m very pleased with it …

……………………………………………………………………..

Fuchsia Swing Time … one of my favourites …

……………………………………………………………………..

An unlabelled little rose from a market stall …

Bought 5 years ago, it had produced nothing …

… but this November it has lovely red blooms …

……………………………………………………………………..

At the back by my shed … Skimmia Magic Marlot …

in front … flowers of Heuchera Gypsy Dancer …

……………………………………………………………………..

Rosa Paper Anniversary … pure white clusters …

……………………………………………………………………..

Rosa Warm Welcome … no signs of cooling off …

…………………………………………………………………….

New growth on miniature lilac … superb scent …

……………………………………………………………………..

In the Pebble Garden … happy Campanula …

……………………………………………………………………..

Fuchsia Eva Boerg … pretty purples …

……………………………………………………………………..

Above the arch, more of mother’s roses …

……………………………………………………………………..

But the birch leaves are falling faster …

Winter won’t wait …

……………………………………………………………………..

… so … wrap up … warm and cosy …

… stay safe from the storms … everyone … xxx

The blurry white is Truffle’s ever wagging tail …

My dogs enjoy dressing up …

… these are charity shop hats …

… we have lots of fun … :o)

So many colours in your garden, Terra. Is your garden Western oriented? Your Paper Anniversary rose looks like my White Fairy rose. Almost identical.
Doggies are cute in their caps :-) Do they really wear them in the winter? My Noris has Scottish coat (checked). Since I have seen Truffle and Conker in their caps, I am seriously thinking of buying him balmoral, lol.

18 Nov, 2013

Wonderful for November Terra, don't know how you do it.

18 Nov, 2013

I think, that altogether with a good gardener a clue could be in western oriented garden ;-)

The boys look wonderful in their hats.....and your garden is a picture too, so much going on still.??

19 Nov, 2013

Terra please would you remind me the name of your "new purchase"? I say a large bed of it at Exmouth last winter and failed to remember what it was.
