Looking up

Marvellous mackerel skies …

… heralding my favourite time of year …

… when my Miyako blossoms begin to bud …

… I absolutely love these flower clusters …

… can’t get enough of them …

… taking lots of photos …

Here mixed with berberis …

… the berberis glowing gold amid brilliant blue …

UFO … can you see it ? …

Pretty in pink …

Clematis Frances Rivis …

My new neighbours are hoping to train my clematis along their side of the fence too …

… now that is definitely looking up !

Finally, an exclusive peek at the gown of Exochorda macrantha The Bride…

… she is looking stunning … blooming profusely this year…

… majestic and beautiful, ready for her white wedding…

… yes things are definitely looking up

Thanks Shirley, Dotty, Callie, Siris and Marjorie ..
The skies are not quite so blue now, but things are definitely looking up, so hoping for better weather soon.

Marjorie, yes, certainly have a try at the mackerel sky in watercolours... that should be fun, and you can let us know when you put the photo on GoY please.

Derek : not sure about the UFO ... maybe an alien craft with occupants looking for gardening tips for their own planet !

Thank you Hywel for your comment ...
sorry for delay in answering but I was abducted by an alien craft, aka UFO, and I've only just returned to earth.

My alien escorts are impressed by the many friendly earthlings and your enthusiasm for your gardens.
They wish to transport to their planet 1,000,000 gro-bags, to experiment with cultivating tomatoes among the volcanic rocks.

This will be one small step for aliens, one giant leap for cherry baby hybrid tomatoes ... x x x

Hi Terratoonie! How are you? and Neptune? It's great to be out and about in the long awaited Spring weather. I'm glad you're making the best of it.

Thanks Bathgate ...
... all going very well here and I hope the same for you.
I'm just about managing to keep up with looking at the GoY blogs, but not yet onto the single photos ...
How is your weather ? Cold here and rainy, but forecast is warm and sunny for the upcoming holiday weekend, so I'm hoping to do more outdoors with Truffle and Neptune.

Great blog TT. excellent news that you new neighbours are friendly. Your cherry blossom is exquisite. I can understand your wish to keep snapping it. I hope the rain has not spoiled the flowers in the garden.

Hi Scotsgran ...
Yes, I feel much happier now ... much safer !
At the moment, the blossom is hanging on, despite the rain and cold wind, but I'm glad I took all the photos a few days ago, when the tree was at its best.
