Mottisfont Rose Garden

Last Sunday we went to Mottisfont Gardens to catch the Roses at their best. Mottisfont hold the National Rose Collection. It was a sunny day, and yes there were hundreds of peopleall trying to see the collection, so we knew we were going to be in for a treat.
Now that we have the ‘Rose Bug’ we were on the lookout for more that will go well in our garden. One we found was ‘Crepuscule’, that will go well up our High Wall.
Another was Teasing Georgia, again for High Wall
Even though there were lots of folk around, I did manage to take a few photos without them!
If you live close enough, it’s well worth a visit.

Magnificent might cover it! What a fantastic place - just love everything. That 'Teasing Georgia' rose is outstanding and the 'Crepuscule' is gorgeous. That garden bed with the old weathered brick wall behind it is simply beautiful. Thanks for the photos Oldgunner.

They are beautiful gardens.

Well Bobg if we can get the GOY HAGS club off the ground - I'll put this beautiful place on my list. Hey - if it's winter, it'll be covered in snow! Maybe I'll need to rethink the timing of the swap!

I pass Mottisfont Abby and Rose garden on my way to work I live less than 5 minuets away It really is a place worth visiting The Roses are stunning, A lot of the work is carried out by volunteers along with the small workforce. A friend works there and he says its not like going to work it’s like going out to play!!
~Bobg your chances are looking less likely!!
