This blog contains some of my favourite species, the Daylilies, the Carniverous Plants, where they from Hants Carniverous plants? And the alpines, I like the strata beds.

Your day lilies found a good home. Their new owners are looking after their plants well.

The Alpines are interesting. I find they are unaffected by the heat. I planted them in a Crevice Garden, putting them in the narrow space between rocks for the roots to grow onto the rocks down below. This has meant they have kept cool and moist. Recommend.

Yes Hywel, although he did say that some are still in pots. They have the British National Collection of modern daylilies.
Sounds good Dianebulley although keeping anything cool the last few weeks has been a nightmare, here at least. Today reached 32 degrees and everything was flagging by lunchtime.

We all need to think more carefully about how we plant anything in future. The deeper the better. Surface rocks
to keep the moisture in. I always did keep those large pebble type stones on the surface of my Clematis.
Torn up cardboard egg boxes mixed into all compost.
Need more now.
